Thank you Eyad, Jabran, and Anas.
Anas, you may be glad to hear that you are probably among top 75 reviewers since the mappers whose name are *.m are probably Googlers. (Can anyone from the team confirm this?)

Ali

Great Work!
It will be difficult to see all that stats filtering by country where the edit or review was made?
Greetings from Paraguay.

I forgot that I had the Map Maker Statistics Web Site bookmarked, and I clicked it open yesterday.

It appears that many of the users listed are past Google employees and some current Google Reviewers.

Check the user names that end with .m   This accounts are obviously past Google employees. Most of these users stopped mapping at the end of 2009, and their mapping area was the US which was not open to the public at that time.

Notice the G-Review accounts under the 'Top Reviewers' sections:

Then check a few of the .m account's profile like number 32 in the 'Top Contributors' section,   [$ (@) $].m  http://www.google.com/mapmaker?gw=66&uid=211648857878686003527

Notice that the last edit for this account was on Sept 14, 2009 in Maryland, US.  The US was not open to public mapper in 2009.

You will see that it is the same with the other .m users - edits in the US before it was open to the public map maker users. Therefore, we most assume these are not normal users.

You will find most of the apparent Google employees in the top reviewer section.

Number 1 - 4 are users that were mapping in the US until the end of 2009 and reviewing in the  US until early 2010. All before the US was public open to users.

Number 5 'pejise1' is a real user.

Then number 6 -11 also appear to be Google employees that were also mapping the US in 2099 and reviewing till 2010.

Same with number 15 - 18,

20 is a G-Review

Same with 22 - 27

And there are more .m and G-Reviewers listed below that.

Wow, nobody is really reviewing are they?

I have asked the team many times to confirm *.m are Googlers. But, I have not received any response. Therefore, you still see some profiles which are probably Googlers (or bots).
Again, I would appreciate if someone officially confirm *.m are Googlers.

Thanks,
Ali

All I know is that regular users could not have been mapping the US in 2009, but getting an 'Official' answer will probably never happen.

Good point.
I removed those who have edit in US before 2010. Please let me know if you find any such possibly Googlers in the lists.

Thanks,
Ali

Going through the Top Reviewer list (because it is the easiest place to find the Googlers)

#7 Maka - US edits in 2008
#14 Dmitry - US edits in 2008
#18 Google Reviewer Joann - obviously a Google Reviewer :)
#34 evan - US edits in 2008
#38 Chris - US edits in 2009
#43 Mari - US edits in 2008

#39 mqoadsp - G-Reviewer  see here

#44 mqoadls - G-Reviewer  see here

#59 mqoadlg - G-Reviewer  see here

There may be a few more floating around in the other lists, but wow it is much cleaner now.

Thanks Ali

Thank you zxrayz.
I remove those profiles except Google Reviewer Joanna. It does not show a "G" on its reviews, so I suppose it does not belong to a Googler.

Please let me know if there is still any problem with the lists.

Ali

Note that it is possible that the 2009 edits were done through Google Maps.  I submitted at least one or two corrections via Maps before GMM opened in the US, and those corrections appeared on my GMM profile once GMM went live in the US.

Hi Ali,
goldfishbutt is (or at least was) a GIS Specialist on the GMM team, so a Googler.

Also, a small typo error.  You mean, I think, super mappers.  Not supper mappers.

Great work, though it doesn't reflect about 200K of my edits, which you keep overlooking.  Yes, yes, they were Denied.  That shouldn't matter.

Is it possible to make another list based on road length added? I believe that road length added is also proportional to the time spent on GMM.
One can add 1km road in one edit (where possible) or in 10 edits. If number of edits is the main priority then some can try to increase the number of edits uselessly.

 Ali,
This is an interesting site, but I sense an error.  Is this truly updated daily still?  It seems to just show the amount of edits for the top 100 people, not for the amount of edits which are actually occurring by person.

It is possible but it would not be useful since editing a 10Km road (e.g. adding a new name) will result in adding 10Km to this data.
However, you may use the third column, i.e. Average Road Length per Edit (m).

Ali

Can you be more specific? Have you noticed an old entry? or a missing top mapper?
The data is updated almost every day, unless there is a problem with sites.google.com.

I took a second look, and they do appear to be current, my mistake!

It appears though, it only shows the top mappers for all time.  It would be interesting to see a them set up differently with the categories as they are already set up - cumulative (Only showing the top mappers for all time), and the categories set up year to date, which would give a more accurate representation of how many contributions were made in a year.  Then again, I'm always curious about numbers, and then again, numbers are never enough! ;D

Yeah.. I have to retract my retraction. Its definitely not updating. (http://goo.gl/sY7xm)

Not a too much of a big deal, but if being used by anyone for research, it should be noted. - shrug-

@ Ali It is not true. Editing a road and Adding a road is not same. Editing a road will increase number of edit not the road length.

I'm just playing. Someday I'll be there when my "regions" finally get some more reviewers.

Interesting stats to review though.

Ali, I think there's something not quite right with the Top Reviewers list.  I am keeping track of some stats for the Canadian RERs and there are at least 2 that should be on the list that are not.  Do you manually populate the names, or should it happen every day when it updates?
