1. All the Google Maps data for the USA and Canada seems to be AWOL in this application:
a. note the error on the left "
Your search for 6221 Harrogate Dr, Austin, TX 78759 around this map area did not return any results" - the street Harrogate Drive is in fact visible at the top of the viewport
b. If you try to switch to map view, you get the error "
We are sorry, but we don't have maps at this zoom level for this region. Try zooming out for a broader look."
Ironically, if you zoom out far enough, you'll see the borders of the US states and Canadian provinces, and full mapping data for Mexico and the rest of Central and South America - que?
2. When you try to save a multi-line path for a walking route, you get the error "
No valid address generated or entered. Please correct errors and submit again or cancel" - this one has me scratching my head ... what kind of address does it want? In my experience, public park hiking trails rarely get deliveries from the USPS :-) TCP/IP? A URL? An ethernet MAC? Burns' ode to the Haggis? Lincoln's speech from Gettysburg? Give us a clue here Googlies!
These are probably related.
If it matters, I am using Firefox 3.5.9, official Canonical build for Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit for x86, but I suspect the bug is with the GOOG
Cheers
Dave
