Hey everyone,

In an effort to make the Map Your World community less daunting and
more streamlined, we've decided to retire some forums, including this
one.

*** From June 1, 2010 onwards, you won't be able to post any
additional notes to this forum. ***

But don't worry!
- We don't plan to erase any of the posts here, so you'll still be
able to refer to the conversations (it'll be "read-only").
- You still have a great place to chat with other Map Maker users!

For now, we're trying out the following set of forums for Map Maker:
- Map Make Announcements: Info on new launches, new features, and a
spotlight on a selection of you folks over time :) [Postings only by
Googlers]
- General Map Maker: Pretty much everything having to do with Map
Maker, except for the topics below.
- Moderating features: Just what it sounds like.
- Coffee shop: This is the place to talk about, well, pretty much
anything other than Map Maker as long as it's respectful and legal.
Chat about your favorite places in the world, talk about your life at
work or school, it's fair game... and a great way to get to know each
other.

Yeah, the earlier revision made sense at the time, but the subfora
have become progressively junked up with off topic posts with content
free subjects.

Maybe there should be a separate sub forum for "Moderation Requests."

I've kept the existing Moderating Features forum alive; my thought was that this would indeed be the best place for moderation requests.  Do you agree that that should do the trick, or will there be posts in there that clutter up the requests?
