I would like to map out some California Data Exchange Center (CDEC) stations on google maps.  Currently the maps I've found look like this:

http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/mapper

Yes, a very primitive map.


Unfortunately, I don't have a better example, but what I'm looking for is setting placemarks like the blue ones in the site below:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=114250687465160386813.00043d08ac31fe3357571

Where do I start?
