On the heels of the introduction of the Africa data download program,
we are already starting to see your mapping efforts put to good use!
Check out this blog post describing how a UN agency is using Map Maker
data to further their humanitarian response to flooding in Africa:

Kudos and thanks to all of you who are literally helping to save lives
