GTUG Mapping Party -- Kyiv (UKRAINE) 2010-01-23

[ANT [UkrainianTeam]]

Last Saturday (2010-01-23) UkrainianTeam presented Google Mapmaker to
Ukrainian users at Kyiv GTUG party.
We have made short presentation of Mapmaker features (

our experience in mapping and some "secrets" of collaboration in Latin
America Mapping competition.

It was first presentation of Mapmaker in Ukraine and it were a lot of
questions. At GTUG was member of Open Street Map community and we
tried to compare two technologies and map quality. It was a big minus
for us that we are not able to edit own country in Mapmaker but in OSM
we are.

Dear Ant, kudos to you for organizing this event. We are looking
forward to participating in and supporting future mapping events in
the Ukraine, once Map Maker is open for editing there :-)
