Layers order and -_ordrer

Hi,

Which method is the best when we want to change layer order in a map. one way is to we can loop over layer objects and just change their order, also I have read about _order in this page https://github.com/mapnik/mapnik/wiki/Grouped-rendering can I use this ability to change layers order in map?
