Mapmaker Update - April 24, 2012

Hello Mappers,

It’s update time again! We fixed a few issues that you reported and made a few general improvements. We appreciate the passion and drive of all you wonderful mappers:)

Here’s what has changed:


Report User as Spammer link is visible to all countries:

Previously, the Report User as Spammer link was available in few countries. We’ve now made it visible to all the countries.

Highlighting the contextual error messages for easy identification:

Earlier, while entering any incorrect value for a field, it was observed that our mappers find it hard to exactly locate which field needs to be rectified.

In order to make it easier for our mappers, the way error message is displayed has been changed and the incorrect field will be highlighted.




Browse and Advanced search works for Building/ Boundary:

Earlier, Browse option didn’t work for the Building and Boundary categories. We’ve fixed this and you’ll now be able to use Browse tool for these categories as well.


Fixed few Category issues:

Earlier, while changing a category from an existing one, the drop down showed all the categories. Few of these categories were not interchangeable.

Now, we’ve developed the tool in such a way that only the interchangeable categories appear in the drop down list.
