Is this possible at the current time?

I am using a large map for Plumas National Forest, and I have noticed there is a distinct skew present between the map in Maplets and the projection in Google Maps.  Is there any way for this to be addressed?

Using the map in the off-board areas can lead to confusion due to the error introduced by this skew.

Thanks,
Keith Barrie

Sorry, it should say "off-road areas"

Seems like you need to use 'Google Earth' mode, and I'm not able to get this working myself.

This blog post from 2015 (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/maplets/eLhZnxC3dvo) seems to be about a similar issue.  Google appears to have abandoned the Google Maps browser plugin, so there may be no current way to do this.

App developer, are you still around?

Hi there,

You're correct that since Google Earth plugin was abandoned the rotated map, there is currently not a way to enable GPS on a rotated map. Some potential options were investigated, such as cesiumjs, but they did not pan out.
