Mōrena,
Hopefully our spring weather arrives well before the fair, less than 2 weeks to go now!!!
The Fairy Queen is a magical experience for our little ones and so much work goes in behind the scenes to make it so special on fair day. The main thing we need from ALL Maple whānau are:
FLOWERS and any trailing greenery and large palm/fern fronds. These will need to be brought to the front of Maple (where buckets will be waiting) next Friday the 10th of November. Please check your own garden and see what you might have, then I urge your to check your parent’s/Uncle’s/cousin’s/Grandparent’s/neighbour’s garden to see what might be in flower next week. It takes a village after all!
We also need a few other items:
Buckets (multiple) to collect all the flowers/bush outside Maple
Vases (12)
Large staple gun
Small step ladder
Standing mirror
Twine
Drawing pins
Pegs - large (bulldog clips?)
Clothes pegs
If you have any of these, please put your name next to the item/s and bring them to kindy on the Thursday afternoon before the fair (9 Nov). Don’t forget to name them so they can be returned to you easily after the fair.
Ngā mihi,
Ruth
