Hi folks,

Volunteers needed this weekend for street intersection photographs across Seattle!

November 21 is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and we're putting together a photo collection commemorating those who have lost their lives on Seattle Streets in the last two years. We need your help!

Sign up to visit specific crash sites on this spreadsheet (map of locations here) and feel free to sign up for a number of crash sites along your route. Visit each by Monday November 15 and take a photo with a white paper heart in the foreground and the street where the person was killed in the background (see the photo attached for reference). Feel free to take a few so we can make sure we have what we need.

Share the photos via email with tam...@cascade.org and be sure to label with the intersection and other identifying information. We'll digitally add a sentence to your white heart with the person's name and other info about them, so you can use the same white heart for all photos. We'll share all the photos leading up to World Day of Remembrance on Nov 21.

We're commemorating these folks to call attention to the need for Seattle to commit to Vision Zero and follow through on creating safe streets for our community. Each of these deaths is a tragedy, and we must do more to ensure that our streets are safe, calm, and equitable.

Thank you for all you do!

Be well,
Clara
