Hi All,

Does anyone know how to, or have a tool that can convert pdf to tab/shape files?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards

AnyDWG has a PDF2DWG converter, once converted you could then pull the DWG
into MI with UT or your choice of translators. Granted that the PDF is
vector based and not raster of course.

I haven't tried PDF2DWG, but I have used their DWGDXF converter to revert
late version DWGs to older.

This is what I do to get old maps from PDF into MapInfo
Extract the image using Acrobat or print to image using Microsoft Office Document Image Writer
Register the image using identifiable locations in the image and on the modern background mapping

Beyond this you could use some raster-to-vector software to convert the contents of the PDF into something which ultimately could be opened in MapInfo.
