Installing MapInfo 10.5

Haveing problems with installing MapInfo 10.5. Os is windows xp
professional with the latest service pack.
.net framwork with the latest patch.

The layer controls do not work. all of the control boxes are grayed
out and there are no control buttons to the right of a layer. When I
hover over a box with the mouse pointer I can read the function and
the boxes do work.
However there is not control for auto labeling etc.

MapInfo tech had us use a .net clean up tool and reinstall mapinfo.
Did not work.

I did a test install on another comptuer witht he same set up of
windows xp and .net and it worked ok.
The laptop does not has all of the other programs as my desk top. Do
not know if another program is affecting the layer controls.

Can you check if a NVIDIA graphic driver will be used and if “nView Desktop Manager“ has been automatically activated?

Please deactivate and try to use MapInfo Pro again.
