Dear Group

I'm trying to import a MID/MIF file into MapInfo that has been generated from a 3rd party piece of software.

The MIF seems to open fine in that all the polyline data appears as it should, however there are no data values in the table.

The column has been createed and correctly named however it looks like it has not picked up the MID file's data (I've opened this in txt and confirmed it is does contain data)

I've tried creating my own MID/MIF files from scratch, exporting then importing them and they work fine so I'm a bit stuck now...

Now I could bring the MID in as a txt file and update the MIF via update column but I'd really like to get to the bottom of this if I can.

Any help/advice is appreciated

Provide a link for downloading the files. It is probably something simple.

Or post it here, if it isn't too big (zip it first) or create a subset.

Hi Uffe
Sorry for the delay in responding, attaching a file from work proved a little difficult as Google Docs is blocked...
I've since stumbed across the solution by accident anyway, basically the MIF was saying create an column as an Integer and it didn't like it. I've amended this to create the column as a Character (Float didnt work either) and works fine.
Regards
