And for what you are using, a polygon and a region are one in the same in
MI. I've ever really looked to see what Mapinfo's working definition
actually is, but simply, "region" is that "area" contained by the polygon
object... But we're probably stepping off into some deep semantics here, too
deep for a Friday!
