I have an existing table in a SQL db that I have a linked connection to.  Need to make some table changes, specifically adding a new column or two to the table.
Usually it would be simple as Table>Modify Structure and then add a field.  Unfortunately when I select the linked table the modify table structure window that opens does not have the add/remove field option like usual. The window simply has field name and types and checkboxes to make indexes.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Pretty sure you can't alter the table structure in MAPINFO for a linked tabled. Modification needs to be done to the DB table in the DB, then you will need to recreate your MI tab to include the new columns.

You need to modify the table structure inside the SQL db and then remake that linked table.
