Hi,

I have looked at some earlier posts where people have had issues with zooming in/out with mouse wheel and couldn't find a solution to my issue.
I'm "working from home" due to COVID19 restrictions and purchased myself a spanking Microsoft 5000 wireless mouse, and wait for it, a "smooth scroll wheel", which I've now found out just doesn't do the job with "wheel scroll zooming in/out".

I'm using MI2019, and under options Mapwindow I have "mouse wheel zoom" ticked on and the map window is the active window. Tried the "Shift" key and wheel scroll and get one zoom, then doesn't work anymore.
Is there a fix or should I throw the "smooth scroll" mouse in the office draw and go back to a "Clunking" scroll mouse?
You don't realise how much you use this function till you lose it.

Any help appreciated.

Hope everyone is keeping safe.

I used MS mice for 20 years, always liked them, had to resort to the Logitech now that MS no longer produces. The M510 was the only thing seemingly worthwhile, it has the “ever so slight” detent to scrolling the mouse which I prefer.

Anyway,

Assuming your “spanking” MS 5000 was new in the box, and if you didn’t install it, you might find installing the IntelliMouse software beneficial.

One of the dialog tabs in the IM software deals with your scroll wheel and how many rows/pages it will scroll at movement, and seems I recall some other settings.  BUT, if you’re running the latest OS there may be some “built in” configurations you can mess with?

Just my 2¢ worth, hope it is helpful,

Stay safe,

Thanks Dave.

No I didn't install any software, just loaded batteries into mouse, turned it on and viola the mouse "worked".
Will look into Intellimouse software.
PS Running Windows10
