Hi,

I'm confused about exporting Tab file to KML file projection.
.
.
I have a Tab file open in mapinfo with projection "Long/Lat(Luzon for Phil.)".
I'm aware that google earth is using WGS84 Projection.
So if i export my file can i export it directly without changing the projection
or i need to save a copy as then change the projection to WGS84?

Another question about exporting to google earth.

If i will export a polygon how can i display the label of it?

I hope someone can help me with this matter.

Cheers,

Glenn

Hi Glenn
I export selected features to KML from a table session already displaying a map in my native format (e.g. GDA94/MGA54).
When you add the kml file to Google Earth, the conversion to G.E. native projection should be done on-the-fly by G.E.
If that doesn't work, save you table in G.E. native format, open it in MapInfo, check projection then export it as kml.

In G.E.click on a feature to see its attributes. I have not seen automatic labelling.

Labelling should be enabled in GE once you open your kml file over the GE.Try it shd work.
