Remove temporary column

For some data processing task I create temporary column.
I couldn't remove the temporary column only if I close and reopen the
table.
Do you know any other simpler solution?

No, that's the only way.

One trick is to select * fom table into NamedQuery before you add the
column, and then add the column to the query. Then you can close the query
without affecting the original table
