RICHED20.dll problem when starting MiPro 15 32 Bit

Hi,

i was just looking into the windows event viewer and every time i start MiPro 15 32 Bit version on my win 10 64 Bit system (DE settings) i get this Application error twice:

MiPro seems to run without problems, but i was wondering, what's wrong?
Anyone seen that error too?

Hi Stefan,

Windows 10 is not supported for MapInfo Pro 15.0 32 bit.
Not sure but this might be the reason of error.

You can try installing MapInfo 15.2 64 bit which is supported on Windows 10 and see if this resolves the issue?

Page 7-8.

MapInfo 15 was released 1 month before Windows 10.

But it works here on my win10-laptop without issues.

Indeed, so pages 7-8 of the install guide details the versions of Windows for which the Pro release has been tested. That is, however, a far cry from “Windows 10 is not supported for MapInfo Pro 15.0 32 bit”. I’ve never seen a statement from PB that says it’s not supported and the absence of testing does not mean it’s unsupported. That would need an affirmative statement to the fact. Anyone been turned away by PB Technical Support when you mention you’re on Win10?

 

While I’m a “happy on Win7” guy, my laptop is on Win10 and, like you Uffe, I’m running both Pro 32 and 64 bit versions with no problems.
