.ASC DTM to Geopackage

Hiya

I need to join several thousand .asc files for a DTM then i need to export them as a geopackage.

I would like to use mapinfo but at the moment I am:

Joining all .asc with ARCMAP and exporting as a TIF

Opening TIF in QGIS and exporting as Geopackage

Is there a way?

Have a look at the Global Mapper package.  It is a great toolset for file manipulation and reprojection.
