What format are the images? ECW, JPG?

OK, here’s something to try out.
MapInfo Pro is using raster handlers for opening raster files. Each raster format can potentially be supported by several raster handlers – MapInfo Pro will use first one it finds.
The order of the raster handlers is determined by their file extension. The must begin with RH and therefor it’s the third letter that sets the order. A file type of RHA will be tried before a type of RHX and so on.
The raster handler files are all located in the MapInfo Pro installation folder, typically C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\Professional.
When I look in my installation folder I have at least three different ECW raster handlers (and one from the Discover package).
- ecw4.rhd
- ecw.rhl
- ecw.rhx

If you see the same, try to rename ecw.rhl to ecw.rha to make this the first ecw raster handler.
