section 1: (1,1) - (2,2)
section 2: (2,2) - (3,3)
And you want one section (1,1) - (2,2) - (3,3) ?
I'm sure you can do that with the Objects - Combine in MapInfo. But it
requires exact same coordinates for (2,2) or you end back with the
multi-sectioned polyline.

hi, i think we need some more info here but here are my solutions:.
you have a multisection polyline that you want to 'break up'?
by this do you mean:
a) two or more separate polyline objects that 'behave' as one object (ie one click and they all get hilighted {lines may not necessarily intersect})
>>if this is the case then select teh object (layer made editable first) and select Object > disaggregate
b) a polyline, that you wish to convert into numerous line objects?
There is a tool to do this on the directionsmag site (i think its called polybrk.zip and its by Andrew dressel)
c) a poly line in which unnecessary nodes are present (all points in a straight line?)
in which case you could try to use the thinning tool, but beware of losing nodes that do indicate changes in line direction?

How can I convert multi-section polylines into polylines with only one
section?
