Our office is the middle of switching over to 64 bit Mapinfo.  We are running into problems with a few scripts not working at all.  We have one script that brings up tools when you right click (set target, zoom, split, combine, etc).  This script isn't running at all, I tried compiling it in MapBasic 12.5 and that didn't help.

Also, is there an easy solution to keep the custom tool bars and quick access tool bars saved?  We keep losing them when we close the program.

Thanks!

Megan,

In your Mapinfo Startup workspace  (Startup.wor) you will want to add commands to run your tools when you start Mapinfo similar to what I have below.

Run Application "C:\Mapinfo_tools_folder\Megans_tools.mbx"

Change the folder location, and file name to whatever is appropriate.

Add this to the bottom of the existing Startup.wor using any text editor.

You can multiple commands executed on startup, creating menus, running programs, etc..
Each program you wish to run on startup will need to have its own line in the Startup.wor file.

I hope this helps.

I have no idea what to suggest with regards to the scripts not working unless there is a decimal version issue. Such as a problem with 12.5.2 that has been resolved with 12.5.3.   I would look for patches, and updates.

Megan,

You wrote:

Is this script adding these tools to the context menu of the map window?

You say it isn’t running at all. Can you see it in the Tools window after you have launched it?
