Hi
I don’t think that temporary column can be retained in any way.
If you save a copy, I still think it will be lost.
You can probably fix the error you get by packing your table.
The error is often seen when you are trying to update a table with deleted records.
There is another way to update a column in a table with values from a column in another table.
You may however run into the same error though.

Subject: [MI-L] Possibility to Save Newly Added Temporary Column on MapInfo

Hello Experts!
I'm genuinely asking about the possibility to save "Newly Added Temporary Column" as a permanent column in MapInfo
Maybe you all already know that, the usual way to update a column via another column (which is intersects in my case) it is through the Update Column feature as per picture below:
But the problem is I can't perform such task, and I kept found this error below
So i've tried another way, and I use this one "add new temporary column" and it works
And my question is, is that possible to save the table (TAB) file while maintaining this "newly added temporary column" as a permanent column?
Because i've tried and still can't save that temporary column permanently in the TAB file
Thanks in advance,
BR,
Zhafran
