Is there some way or function in MapInfo pro to merge all layers
within a .wor file into a single lightweight layer one can open later
with only a few columns maby a type column that tells its previous
layer name for each row in the new table? This to get an easier map
without 30 differnet layers...
Or maby split up in by objects
one tab for all line tabfiles, one for points and one for polygons?

You could:
1) Use seamless mapping to create a single table which contains the path and name of each original table
Or
2) Use one of the many "combine table" utilities to merge all the tabs into a single large file

Neither does what you've suggested. But the output from (2) could be slimmed down to just contain the objects and their types.
