Slightly off topic....
I have managed to create a massive 64Gb MRR file on my laptop.
It took a while to create but now I would like to back it up on to my Toshiba Canvio Ready 1TB Portable Hard Drive. (NTFS)
However, it always crashes out about 1/3 of the way through.
Has anyone had this problem before and is there a workaround?

Hi,

You can try splitting your file into smaller chunks.
Total Commander can do this automatically, but according to web searches 7-zip file manager can do it too. And many more....

Hi Uffe

Using 7zip I tried splitting it using 8Gb parts and zip format.

It crashed out with an error message - Data Error Cyclic Redundancy Check after the creation of 2 files.

Are there any settings you would recommend within 7zip to use?

Hi,

Google "Data Error Cyclic Redundancy Check".
It is not something I have experience with, sorry.

Regards
Uffe
