Why noselect has been removed from SQL

Dear All,

Is there anyone has any idea why this does not work anymore ? It was very simple and effective

I just tested this (with a different where condition), and if I untick 'Browse Results', it works.
If I tick that box, I get 'No records were selected', which is incorrect as it should find the two records I expect.

I don't think the NoSelect keyword has ever really worked via the SQL Select dialog.

The Into field expects a "table name" which we all know can't hold spaces (and other special characters). That's why you get an error when adding the NoSelect keyword

Peter it was working pretty good before but anyway I got the message :)

Using MapInfo 6.5

Noselect in the INTO of SQL Select does work with caveats [? as designed]

If Browse Results is checked and error is thrown "No Records Were Selected" - which is correct as no selection was made but Sel1 is available in Window New Map and Browser

Unchecking performs as expected, the map has no selections as though nothing happened but Sel1 is available in Window New Map and Browser

exactly this was the story :) so dialog was returning no records were selected or if you deselect browse results you don't even have this message but eventually your results were in the temporary table, not anymore :)
