Hi All,

I have an vb.net application running with MapInfo 9.5 and have some
MapInfo code implemented. They all run fine in my computer (which is a
pc running on windows xp) but when it comes to another "test" computer
(both pc, win xp and win7), we get the error "cannot use an
uninitialized object variable in an expression".

I've checked the tables for non object records, actually we all work
on same data set, same version of the application and same version of
MapInfo Professional (9.5). So it seems a little confusing, help
needed.

Thank you in advance.

I think you will need to provide more information before anyone can
help you.

What is the vb.net application doing when the error occurs?
An SQL query?
What is the syntax of the query?

Does the application create any tables, maybe temporary tables
that might be re-created and deleted each time you run the
application?
Maybe there is a problem with user rights not allowing the .TAB etc.
files to be created in certain locations, given the user privileges
on Win 7. That's just a guess.
