If you've got GDAL, you should be able to use ogr2ogr for this.
Depending on what you've installed you can use one of the following drivers
http://www.gdal.org/drv_kml.html
or
http://www.gdal.org/drv_libkml.html

Hi,

If you are using MapInfo Pro, you can very easily convert the tab files in to GML using the  Universal Translator tool. For converting to a KML format we have the Google Earth utility which can export these tab files to KML extension files. To read more about using Universal Translator, have a look at this article: https://li360.pitneybowes.com/s/article/ka180000000Cv8yAAC/MapInfo-Professional-How-to-use-the-Universal-Translator

Thanks,

I use QGIS to convert .tab files to .kml.  It is an extremely straightforward process: Layer>Add Layer>Add Vector Layer.../Browse/Open/Layer>Save As.../Browse + Select fields to export and their export options/OK.

I typically just use Google Earth Pro, since its free and can open Mapinfo Tables directly. I just open the tables in GE Pro then save as KMZ.
