Hi All,

With MI Pro 10.5 there are 2 buttons to bring in Bing Aerial or Bing
Hybrid. Is there a way to bring in Bing Road?
Thanks,
Bob

Yeah, nice they are, those two buttons, aren't they?

A recent aerial photo (in full color!!) - with our without annotation
- underneath your map, with just one mouse click. Many people would
not have believed 15 years ago that this would be possible one day....

Sorry, I am growing old.

Bing Road is not available at the moment, but you could lay down a
request with Pitney Bowes Business Insight.

From within Mapinfo Professional, you can use Help > Send Product
Improvement Suggestions...

Or you could drop this idea in the PBBI Ideas Community (http://
www.pbinsight.com/communities/pbbi-ideas-community). This second route
would enable other users to promote or denote this idea.

Make the most of it Egge-Jan, as it'll expire after the 31st Dec 2011...

A tile server is a server that contains a collection of raster tile images. The tiles cover a given place on the earth.
MapInfo Professional 10.5 users can access Bing tile servers through to December 31, 2011. After that date, attempts
to use Bing tile server tables will result in an error message:
Your Microsoft Bing service for MapInfo Professional has expired! Please contact your Pitney Bowes Business
Insight representative to learn about renewal options.

The above is taken from the MapInfo v10.5 Release Notes.

Hi Bob

Afraid not - unless you enter into some personal arrangements with Microsoft for a licence
to access that data perhaps...
Other tile servers are available.

We do have a license with Microsoft in order to use Bing maps. We use
it on many internal and external web sites for our mapping. The
problem is using it inside MapInfo Pro. Our developers know .NET and
Bing maps, but don't know about MI Pro and how this would be possible.
