I am using Easyloader in MapInfo 8.5.1B to get TAB files into Oracle XE. It
works OK unless I have any decimal fields. Then I get error ORA-01722 on a
number such as 0.000. As far as I can see I use . as decimal comma on both
server and client everywhere, but still I get this error.

Any ideas what to look for? Use version 9.0 instead?

Now I have tried with 9.0.2 and I still get the same error. Is anybody
having success with this combination?

on that note
does anyone know where i can download Easyloader v 8.5?

the download available on the PB MI site only allows you do download v9 (which of course requires MI PRO 9)
even though the link on the web site says its for downloading v8.5

Thanks to Peter Horsbøll Møller.

The solution is to add the system variable NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS with value
".," (skip " when typing) on the client pc. Now Easyloader also works fine.
