SDK for MapInfo Pro Advanced

I am getting ready to trial MapInfo Pro Advanced 15.2 and I am very interested in the SDK. Does this SDK replace mapBasic and are there any resources for setting up the development environment with visual studio as well as some sample tutorials?

I wold recommend going for MapInfo Pro 16.0 if you are using the English version.

That version has been available for some time now and has some new features compared to v15.2

MapInfo Pro Advanced comes with a SDK which lets you create applications for working with Raster data.

The MapInfo Pro Raster SDK is not a replacement for MapBasic. It’s .NET SDK that can should be used from a .NET environment. You can also use it from MapBasic, either directly or via methods written in .NET.

 

The MapInfo Pro Raster SDK is not a replacement for MapBasic.
