Chipsetsprocessors, and various drivers supported by the AMD Ryzen chipset driver package may vary depending on the version of Windows installed on the system. For more information, please refer to the release notes posted on the chipset driver download page.

AMD Ryzen chipset drivers are available for download on the AMD Drivers and Support page. To find your chipset drivers, first use the product selector to choose your AMD chipset. Once you have selected your chipset, click the Submit button to be taken to the driver download page.

On the download page, select your operating system to see a list of the latest drivers and software for your chipset. For the purpose of this article, only AMD Ryzen chipset drivers for Windows 10 64-bit will be covered.

In the expanded view, select Click here for Release Notes to review system requirements, driver highlights, and known & fixed issues. To download the AMD Ryzen Chipset driver package, click the Download button.

Before installing the AMD Ryzen chipset driver package, it is recommended to save and close any open applications and temporarily disable anti-virus software. This can help eliminate any potential conflicts during the chipset driver installation process.

The AMD Chipset Software Installer will display a list of supported drivers to be installed. By default, all components will be checked, which is recommended for a complete installation. Click on the link to AMD Chipset Driver End Under License Agreement to review the terms of use. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click Install to begin the installation process.

In most cases, the simple process of installing or upgrading the AMD Ryzen chipset drivers can be completed without issues. However, if there have been recent changes to your system hardware configuration or the currently installed chipset drivers are extremely outdated, then it is recommended to uninstall the existing chipset drivers before installing the new package. Performing the uninstall ensures a clean system and can help reduce issues or conflicts which may occur with the new installation.

NOTE! It is recommended only to use Windows Programs and Features to uninstall AMD Ryzen chipset drivers. Attempting to remove any chipset driver components using Device Manager or third-party driver removal software will have undesirable effects on the system.

If you are still unable to resolve any of the above errors, after completing the suggestions outlined above and need further assistance, please contact AMD Customer Care. Make sure to include the AMD Installer log file to your service request. The AMD Installer log file is located in \AMD\ Chipset_Software\Logs

If you would like to submit a bug report to help AMD investigate chipset driver issues, you may use the AMD Bug Report Tool. When filing your chipset driver bug report, please make sure to select Platform / Chipset Driver for Affected AMD Applications and provide detailed reproduction steps with the log file located in \AMD\ Chipset_Software\Logs attached.

Could anyone help me diagnose or workaround this problem? I am trying to install my chipset drivers on Windows 10 x64, but the install fails without information or help of any kind. It is very frustrating for me, because it means (among other things) that my VGA drivers are incorrect.

I just wanted to let you know that the reason why this driver is not being updated is because your graphics controller does not support Windows 10, it won't be possible to install this driver on your computer. I recommend sticking with the supported operating systems for the driver availability. The operating systems for Intel HD Graphics 2000 are;

Found one User that used Microsoft Install/Uninstall troubleshooter to fix his problem. I have attached it to this post for you to download and run. If it doesn't fix it, I found several websites that have the same AMD error but various solutions.

Run the Microsoft Troubleshooter and see if it installs correctly without error. If it still has the same error, download a free program called Wise Uninstaller. This program should remove all traces of the AMD Chipset bad installation. Then try installing the latest CHIPSET from either AMD or from your Motherboard Support site. Whichever is newer.

Thank you, I have successfully solved the problem! First, I use the windows tool you sent to uninstall all the AMD drivers (such as IO, PCI, etc.) and then delete the AMD folder on Disk C, and then reinstall it successfully!

From the error message that you have given, it seems like an incorrect path/ folder location of the chipset that you are trying to install. Since this is an OEM (Branded Laptop) original equipment manufacturer device, please take into consideration that our support may be limited since we are not familiar with the technology, settings, customizations, custom drivers, and features that the OEM has designed and installed your system, nevertheless, I will do my best to assist you with your concern.

I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled the AMD drivers half a dozen times now and I keep coming to this road block where the Radeon software goes through the whole process just to give me "Chipset Install Failed"... worse yet, the "show me details" link brings me to a "page not found" on the AMD site.

I've tried it several times. Used the microsoft uninstall tool to wipe everything AMD and start over beginning with the AMD chipset drivers (which install without error) only to get to Radeon for the whole thing to hit a wall. Updated all the bios in my MOBO again. Checked for windows updates. Same result.

BTW, I'm in this mess after changing my mobo and cpu and did a fresh install of windows - this 5600xt has plenty of flawless hours on it over the past couple years so I know what it can do - it installed to my last asus mobo no problem. This new one however is giving me a migrane.

If this is a new build you may need to update your MOBO Bios this can often solve a lot of issues. Also if your running a VPN turn it off when downloading critical updates. I had similar problems updating my chipset on an MSI X370 MOBO and the VPN was severely throttling my download speeds and causing random files to not get downloaded when making critical updates. I've heard that a lot of third party software can cause issues like these. The ones I hear most about it Twitch and Discord and having your Antivirus sensitivity setting set to high rather than medium. Hope some of this advice helps you find a solution.

You can also use Microsoft Install/Uninstaller Troubleshooting tool that has helped many Users at AMD Forum to successfully install the AMD CHIPSET drivers after continually failing: Microsoft Install/Uninstall Tool

Run the MS Tool and delete all AMD Drivers that you see then afterwards try installing the CHIPSET drivers again. Make sure you have deleted the AMD CHIPSET installation folder at C:\AMD first to prevent any conflicts or corruption with the current Chipset installation.

I thought that there was a new version after the ones released on December 13 but I could be wrong. Anyway, you can check the adrenaline software to see what version you have. The device manager should tell you as well.

Under the driver update of the Legion space, I see 50916731 available to be updated, and the current one is 11012, so at least Legion space is reporting the old driver. I haven't been able to figure out how to confirm whether the chipset is updated or not. Could be really not updated, or not being reported coprrectly

Oh I see what you're saying if I'm thinking correctly. If you go into the adrenaline software I believe there is something under settings or preferences I forget which tab but there's a drop-down box that shows all of the informatin for the driver

I have a new Mainboard and CPU that comes with a driver CD. I can not boot my old windows 7 system because it crashes instantly upon trying to boot with no time to read what caused the crash. I think I need to install the new chipset drivers before switching the system, but how can I do that when I can not log into the old Windows 7 system to read the DVD and run the driver installation?

You've run into a classic problem. You tried to use an existing installed version of Windows (on your HDD) on a different mobo, and that almost always cannot work. The reason is that EVERY Windows is customized when it is first Installed. The process takes a survey of all the hardware in the system and installs all the device drivers needed for it, but no others. If you then place that HDD in a different machine, you have some drivers installed with no such devices, and some drivers missing for the new devices.
