MapForge Isn't Working

I just downloaded MapForge and am having a hard time getting it to work. When clicking on the desktop icon, it will try running before I get three notifications:

"Unable to load movie playlist. Does the .INI file exist? It must contain a section '[Movies]' with an entry 'Movie01=Pathname.dir'."

"This projector is stopping."

"This application cannot run."

But, if I access it directly from the original download folder, it will generally load. However, it will then say:

"There was a problem resizing the canvas."

And then there are no items that show up in the directory. When I click on it, it says "Object expected. Script Error. Continue?"

Any ideas how to fix this?
