1. Using MapForge V1_0_9_Win
2. Running on Windows 10 Pro (x64) Build 17134.709;     i5-3470 CPU,     8GB Ram, Loaded on a 500GB SATA 6 Gb/s drive (not SSD, but I have a boot SSD with just windows)  32GB free
3. Terrain Hex Basic Set LR.cxt and its five other sisters
4. After building a map, when I tried to EXPORT via either the button or the menu, I get the same result.  It reports export successful, and I return to messed up map.  If I had saved my map, I can exit and reload it. I have attached screenshots.
5. I have tried the patch you recently sent out, no good.

How many cells wide and high is your map canvas, and what is the resolution set to? This information can all be found on the Map & Grid Settings screen. If you use a smaller map canvas, does Export work OK?

Could you email me the saved map file for testing? (.cxt)

Please don't change the compatibility mode willy-nilly. Doing so can cause your Challenge Code to change and therefore invalidate your license and Add-On registrations.

Kevin,

I got your "Hex3.cxt" file loaded up and it is set to 33x33 hexes at 200 dpi/resolution. Is this meant to be just part of a much larger map? Because only about a sixth of the canvas is being used. I assume it's just an early WIP that will eventually use the entire canvas, but if it isn't, you can save a lot of memory and get increased rendering speed by using a much smaller map canvas.

The assets in the Low Res Add-Ons are 140 dpi. Please know that if you export a 200 dpi map, it will be pixellated. Ideally, you should set the map resolution to 140 or less, and not intend to print the resulting map.

I left your settings as they were, though, and was able to export the map without a hitch. I'll email it to you. It took under 9 seconds, and the resulting PNG file is 3.9 MB. I then exported it to JPG, which came out at only 2.1 MB, but there are visible compression artifacts, making it less than ideal compared to the PNG.

Worth noting: I had only those 6 Add-Ons enabled. Do you have a lot of Add-Ons enabled that you won't make use of on this map? If so, move them to the "Disabled Add-Ons" folder.

Tip: Use the "Autosort Tiles" feature before you export. That will fix overlapping mistakes, like the desert oasis that is covering the mine.
