I am sure I am missing something, since I didn't find any report like this.
I hope you don't mind if I report this in the form of a bug, maybe it's easier.
In case, feel fre to redirect me if a solution has been already found.

Mapforge 1.0.7 (via installer)
OS: Windows 10 Home- 64bit
Ram: 8G
Add-on: Castle Walls; Cave Map Tiles

Problem:
After some attempts to use the build tools (Fill and Dig) the program begins to respond with a typical warning popup/error message sounds at every click.
The error message, though, is not visible on the screen. I realized it was present (other than the sound itself) by a new item in the Windows toolbar that reads:
Director Player Error.
At this point I can not perform any action and I am only able to close Mapforge by brute force of the tasklist manager.
Note that the icon of Mapforge is associated to the program Adobe Projector (32 bit) (I don't really knwo what it is)

I tried to keep pressing or waiting hoping it would start to respond again but it didn't and once it crashed.

How to Reproduce:
- Launch Mapforge
- Select Options
- Select Load Donjon TSV file
- Select a previously downloaded file
- Select Fill and Dig and tryto use them on the map
- Nothing changes on the map
- Eventually the sound of an error message is played

Thanks for the report.

Please try a couple of things to see if perhaps the error can be made not to happen in the first place.

1. As soon as you launch MapForge and it finishes loading, go to the Map Settings screen (using the top-right button on the toolbar) and select a modest map size. Say, 36x36 grid squares with a Resolution of 100 pixels per cell. Click on "Apply" or press the Enter/Return key to exit this screen.

2. Go to Effects/Filters (using the button just below the Build tool button) and turn off the checkbox at the bottom which says "Enable Filters/Effects".

3. Now try to recreate the problem you reported.

Any change?

Oh, and try it with the TSV file I provided, please.

Hi Heruca,

thanks for the quick answer.
Unfortunately nothing changes.

Do you see any files in the "Support Files\Cached Textures\" folder? If not, that might be why it isn't working. You'll need to select a color or a texture for the feature to work. If this is the case, it's a logic bug, which I'll need to fix in the next release.

Floor Texture.lst
Solid Texture.lst
Walls Texture.lst

are there in the folder.

The colour square at the bottom of the screens shows the blue and white that I can see in your video.
