Linux Update?

I'm just wondering if there is likely to be an update on the Linux PPA
any time soon?
It's still on version 6, but the latest Tiled version is 8.

Unfortunately the owner of this PPA no longer has time to update it
since a long time. I've opened a Tiled-specific PPA at some point but
also I don't have time to keep a package updated there (also I don't
know anything about Debian packaging). If somebody would like to step
up as the maintainer of this PPA, this would be much appreciated.

Sorry for my late response, I have only just seen your own response.
I have no idea about setting up a PPA or packaging .deb files, but
will definitely look into it.
Does this hold any interest to anyone else, are their any other Ubuntu
users out there?

Recently someone has been setting up packages and daily builds on a
PPA for another project I'm involved in (manasource.org) and I think I
could do the same for Tiled, possibly getting some help from him. So
it may not be far off.
Of course, you're still welcome to look into it as well. I've made a
start by setting up an import of the Tiled repository from git to
Launchpad (lp:tiled) and created a tiled-daily recipe, but it doesn't
have the right build scripts yet. See:
