Cannot Run Macro: "MapDisto 2.0.b111.XL2013.Win" The macro may not be avaliable...

Hi

I am super new to Map Disto and I am trying to learn how to use for my data. I am running into this error in the subject head above and have tried a couple of things:

----I followed this solution:

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options.
  2. Click Trust Center.
  3. Click Trust Center Settings.
  4. Click Macro Settings.
  5. Click to select the Trust access to the VBA project object model check box.
  6. Click OK to close the Excel Options dialog box.
  7. You may need to close and re-open excel.


I also did the same thing as the above again but also enable all Macros. I closed Excel restarted my laptop (Windows 10) and ran Map Disto again but I am still getting this message. Do I need to do some additional adjustments on Excel or R ( I have only installed the qtl package) .???

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks !

In this post my issue is I don't see "Command" anywhere despite doing this below. I feel like I cannot do any analysis without Command....

This error comes up when I click on : Commands Toolbar

Hi Mathias,

I was also watching a tutorial video on YouTube on how to use MapDisto which also showed the "Commands" button to perform statistical analysis...but I just don't see that option in Windows MapDisto so I am sorta stuck...

Hi,

I've replied to you by pm but the short story is that "Commands" has been replaced (almost) everywhere by "Menu".
