Hi

I am trying to find some information about about the meaning of color asteriks that show up on linkage maps with markers. There are two colors green and blue, what do these colors mean? Also what do the number of dots/asteriks mean?

I tried to search it in the manual but I have not found anything.  Here is a picture:

Thank you for your response Mathias,

I one follow-up question. How would I know based on the color which parent it belongs to?

Hi Mathias

I have a follow up for you about the parents

1. As you said the the x2 seg indicates what parent it its. So for example- hmzA = 350 and hmzB= 100 so in this case for marker 120AV the parent is Parent A?

2. My other question is in relation to QTL peaks -  in that function you have QTLs associated with the trait example (Yr_SV- severity) and say that it's highlighted in red with a value what does that exactly mean? For example, I have a value of 8.4 in  a red box for Yr_SV for marker 834-10?  In addition, how would I know what genotype call (A or B) is associated with that resistance?
