store locator map

I have two needs:
1. I need to build a map of store locations by importing an excel csv
file. (I think I have figured out how to do that.)

2. I would like to be able to enter a zip code and have the stores on
the map within 50 miles be listed

Does anyone know how to do this or where I should go to find similar
code that I could customize?
