Add more description lines in bulk import

Currently, there are Description, Description 1, Description 2, and
Description 3. Would it be possible to add several more Description
lines? Also, would it be possible to have a map legend that can
be modified to identify diffferent names for different color

The site responds well to normal HTML code. If you want more "lines"
of description, you can import what looks like three descriptions, but
each of them can be more than one if you seperate each of your
descriptions with the <br> (HTML code for a line break).

I'm still learning MapBuilder, but I need more fields to display in
the description area. Is there a way to manually code which fields to
display there?

Hello Jenny,

You can combine any number of descriptions fields in your csv/excel file into a single
description field and import it.

Does it make sense?

Thanks, Andrew. That does make sense. I was hoping to just take input from a form done in Zoho Creator and import it into MapBuilder since the staff who will be updating this resource don't know Excel (I don't know it very well, either), but I will see what I can figure out on the Excel side.

However, I've imported an Excel test file into MapBuilder, mapped the fields, and added the locations to my map, but the three extra description fields and the address are not displaying. I can try to concatenate all of the description fields into one, but I thought the address was supposed to automatically display on the individual markers. I tried adding a location with geocoding through the MapBuilder interface, too, but that doesn't make the address display either.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hello Jenny,

Unfortunately address fields are not automatically included into description area
due to pop-up size limitation.

But we can add an additional tab called "Address"... How does it sound for you?

I guess that would be okay, although I'd prefer to have the address up front. I guess I'm wondering how maps such as the ones at http://www.historickeywestinns.com/map.htm and http://houstonprivateschools.org/index.cfm?CFID=13440212&CFTOKEN=43291124&MenuItemID=102&MenuGroup=Home%20New are able to display the address on the initial popup. Is everything just in the description field for those sites, including HTML for bolding?
