Hi everyone,

I've seen tons of edits in Uptown over the last few days. Check out the buildings that are popping up: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=44.94751&lon=-93.30022&zoom=17&layers=M

Do you all know about the Bing layer available in both JOSM and Potlatch? Bing gave OSM a license to use their imagery for tracing. Additionally, Potlatch 2 is available now on the OSM website. If you hold your cursor over the "Edit" button Potlatch 2 is an option now. Check it out, I think it's much easier to use than Potlatch 1.

Also, if you're mapping in Hennepin County, I was able to tile some of Hennepin County's high-quality imagery. Feel free to use it in JOSM or Potlatch: http://cube.telascience.org:8000/hennepin/!/!/!.png (that's a Potlatch-style URL -- let me know if you'd like some help getting it into JOSM).

If you'd like, let us know where you've been mapping and if you've spotted any great-looking areas in Minnesota.

Imagery looks great, Ian.

I've been doing some editing in Downtown Saint Paul - mostly adding buildings.

The best of it is probably my update to the Capitol.

Guilty!

I needed a little mental vacation and had an afternoon open up. I saw
the buildings popping up in TangleTown (which I see are yours Ian...)
about the same time that I had a look at the Bing imagery and went a
little nuts.

Nice work with the Hennepin imagery Ian. It looks better than Bing in
the areas that I did a quick comparison.

David.
