Hi all,

I am Kihara Solomon, a Software Developer based in Nairobi. I have been following the progress of Map-Kibera silently waiting to see where I can chip in as I think this is a wonderful Idea.

Unique customer services, located at the heart of the city offers good printing services for an affordable cost. They have the capacity to print in bulk and their services are pretty good.

Their charges are:

Printing an A4 poster (colored) - KShs. 100-150, depending on the poster

Printing an A3 poster (colored) - KShs. 200-3000, depending on the poster

Printing of business cards - KShs. 100 per sheet, no design involved, just ptinting. A sheet has 12 cards

Designing of business cards: KShs. 300 - 700 per design depending on the design.

I am in touch with them and I can handle the printing issues that the project might require.

Excellent, thanks for the speaking up and welcome.

So this sounds pretty good, let's talk after I arrive to work out the details.
We do need a design .. though I think myself or someone can manage the layout.

Definitely needed is a logo .. does anyone have any good ideas for a logo for Map Kibera?

Anyone able to come up with a design?

Hi. My name is george. I have had discussion with levis on kibera
mapping project nd with pamoja trust. Pamoja Trust wil be doing
mapping along the railway line towards preparation of Relocation
Action Plan. They can offer a good platform for entry into kibera
community. Do you think its prudent to further the discussion with

Hi Mikel,

The printing place have some designers who we can use, should the need arise. All they will do need is a sketch and as you say a guidance on the layout.

We can hook up once you arrive, safari njema (travel safe).
