to Map Your World - Adding & editing features
I have started to add some roads and villages Nellore District of
Andhra Pradesh in India and they seem to be appearing on mapmaker
after due moderation.

I notice that some of the villages are either in the wrong place or
sometime given fantastics numbers for population, so as to appear as a
town. some of the villages with with less than 100 houses were given
90000 population, when I correct these I do not get any feedback. Is
this normal? Also when I edit or delete a wrong entry for a village
and create correct one, I do not get any feedback from the moderators.

Having villages marked with 30000 population without a single house
is really silly.

I am not sure if I am following the correct protocol. Any guidance or
pointers will help in my being productive.

TIA

Hi

The population shown in the mapmaker data is only guesstimate. You can and should correct it with census data, if available. Also you can modify the boundaries. But the modified boundaries will appear later after getting it moderated.
