to Map Your World - Adding & editing features
Hi. I am currently adding features, places, etc to my home country of
Trinidad & Tobago. I initially added the points on the map. A couple
of hours later I emails from Google Moderators concerning those
points, asking that they be changed to polygons to cover the area
occupied by the places I marked out earlier. I did this, no problem &
then took the opportunity to do the same for existing points of
interest that were either there already or newly added by me.
However in the case of the edited points it shows both there now, as
in the old (point) location & the new (polygon) location, which makes
it look like a duplicate of the same feature is there.

If you'll could look into this it will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi ScottRASC,
Welcome to the Map Maker community :)

I believe that you tried to add shape to the existing features and
saw multiple labels for that feature. This is actually a rendering
issue and will be resolved after next rendering cycle. A simple way to
find duplicates is to do a 'Right Click' near that feature and select
"Find Near This Point". If multiple features pop up with the same
name, then we can be conclusive of the duplicates.

In case you need further assistance, please post back to us with the
link to any such feature. You can copy the link by clicking the
feature, then right-clicking "Link to this page" (On the top right
corner) and selecting "Copy Link Location"(Firefox) or "Copy
Shortcut"(Internet Explorer). You can then paste the copied link on
your post.

Regards,
