While adding a POI or road near State/District boarders, the address is often displayed in correctly, although changes were made in the address/ attributes Tab. GMM may please evolve a method to correct such discrepancies.

Please see the link where a portion of a railway line in Manjeswar Railway Station in Kerala is displayed.
The line is shown as in Karnataka and cannot be modified

Hi CNR,
Thanks for bringing this yo our attention. We have edited the
boundary of Kerala based on your input. The address should be picked
up correctly now.

The Address in some other POIs are still strange showing as seen in the Link given below, which shows both states as addresses. It means that the boundary is still not marked correctly.

Hi CNR,
I see that you have multiple concerns about the address of POI's. I
try to answer all of them.

1. Govinda Pai Memorial Government College - Kerala:
Any feature in Mapmaker picks up the address of its container
(parent) feature by default. But, if another container feature is in
close vicinity of its parent feature, then address of other container
also come up in feature's address drop down menu. In this case, even
though the feature appears under Kerala, it's still quite close to
Karnataka boundaries. Hence, multiple state addresses in drop down
menu.

2. Perala Village - Karnataka:
This feature was earlier under Karnataka and was quite far from
Kerala boundaries. Hence it was picking up wrong state in it's
address. We have edited the boundaries to include this under Kerala as
well.

Please note that addresses of child features are not refreshed
automatically when its parent feature is changed and has to be done
manually. Hope that answers your question.

Regards,
Map Maker Guide.

Hi

Thanks.
I have seen similar problems with the district boundaries also.
Can you include the neighbouring Districts/State in the drop down list so that the user himself can select the appropriate district/state.
I have added many other POIs which were not provided option for selecting correct district/state.

Hi CNR,

Can you please post link to those features where the correct State/
District is not available to select from the drop down. We'll get
those fixed for you.

Hi

The child features are not refreshed even after its parent feature is changed manually by editing.
Please see the link given below and look at the attributes on edit.

Please also note that the entire area is Idukki District, which is marked as Kottayam, incorrectly in the map.

Hi

Please see the link given below showing the boundaries of Idukki District. The boundary is almost correct. But when a POI or road is marked in the District, it shows as in Kottayam by default. Please look into.

Hi CNR,
Any POI marked in the area posted above is still picking up
"Kottayam" as the district because both district containers "Kottayam"
and "Idukki" are overlapping in this area. You can correct the
district boundaries of "Kottayam" for the feature to pick it's correct
address.

Here is the link:
