The Panamerican high way extends beyond it´s existence in Panama. The
First part of the Panamerican Highway is called Cinta Costera. It
starts with a bridge that si near the beginning of Ave Balboa. It is a
resent construction and because of this it is not shown on satellite
images. After the Cinta Costera called Panamerican Highway recheas
land in Punta Paitilla it is the end of this highway. The other part
of the Panamerican highway starts after the Super 99 of Punta Pacifica
and goes also on a bridge over the sea. It is called Corredor Sur.
This highway charges a fee for crossing it and it ends on Tocumen.
When the Corredor Sur ends a road to Darien starts. This road is not
called Panamerican highway. Another problem is that in the map this
highway passes over small streets and residencial areas that sometimes
have dense traffics. This small roads can not be considered part of a
highway.

Hi,
You can correct the mistakes of the Pan-American highway on Google
Map Maker and the changes will propagate to Google Maps also. Please
see the following help section about roads to know more about how this
can be done: http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=156967

Do let me know if you need any clarification.

Regards,

Dear JRC,

It looks like the satellite imagery has been recently updated and the
recently constructed bridge now appears. Can you please confirm?

Thanks,

Jen.
