Dear Portofino Community

On the Add New Page or the Configuration section of a page, there is a field to specify an icon to use with that page.

In one of the videos on how to set up Portofino, a google icon name was specified and the icon would appear next to the page name. This does not work in 5.3.0, which I am using.

I assume there is a missing step, since I have not saved any icons into any folder. I found several "images" folders in the portofino-5.3.0 directory structure, but none seem to have useful icons. I assume that I have to add the requisite Google icons into one of these folders. But which one? Or do I save them elsewhere? When I download them from Google, should I download the PNG version or the SVG version of the icon?

There are some poorly documented complex instructions on Google on how to use icons, but it is entirely unclear how this would apply to Portofino.

Hopefully there is a simple instruction like, "download the google icons as PNG or SVG and put them in the xxxx directory. Please help.

Cheers,

Joe

Hi! Those icons are indeed Material icons. However, we only supported an older version of the Material icons with fewer glyphs. This has now been updated in Portofino 5.3.1 :)
