We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in the healthcare industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that healthcare applications, platforms, and data solutions align with operational goals and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders, clinicians, product managers, and developers to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for healthcare applications (e.g., EMRs, EHRs, payer systems, claims processing, etc.).
Facilitate requirement workshops, JAD sessions, and cross-functional meetings.
Analyze and optimize workflows related to clinical, operational, and billing processes.
Perform data analysis, mapping, and validation in support of system integrations or migrations.
Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and test cases for UAT and QA teams.
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, and CPT.
Support implementation and post-production activities, including change management and training.
Liaise between business users and development teams, ensuring clarity and shared understanding.
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and documentation standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in the healthcare domain.
Strong knowledge of healthcare systems: EMR/EHR (e.g., Epic, Cerner), payer/provider systems, medical billing/coding, claims, eligibility, and enrollment.
Proficient in creating BRDs, FRDs, data flow diagrams, wireframes, and test plans.
Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EDI 837/835).
Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
Solid experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Visio, Excel, Tableau/Power BI (optional).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Healthcare IT certifications (e.g., CPHIMS, CBAP, Epic Certification).
Experience with data warehousing, data analytics, or clinical decision support systems.
